https://aslim.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/34

The aim of this research is to understand the significance of guidance and counseling services at the elementary school level on student development. This type of research is qualitative using interview instruments. The subjects of this research were four elementary school class teachers. The research results show that: (1) It is very important and necessary to implement counseling guidance services in elementary schools which are run directly by guidance and counseling teachers. The aim is to help students complete their developmental tasks, overcome problems or obstacles they face, so that they can develop as individuals complete with their needs, actualize themselves, develop talents and interests, and express all their potential. (2) Even though class teachers have a dual role as guidance and counseling teachers, they must continue to improve their knowledge and skills in assisting and understanding the needs and characteristics of students in their classes. (3) There are still many challenges faced in elementary schools, therefore, cooperation between class teachers, guidance and counseling teachers and parents is very necessary to accompany and guide students in completing their developmental tasks well.
Syeha Bagja UbaydillahDidit RuhdiantoNeng Huriah LatipahNurfitriani

https://aslim.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/19

This research analyzes elementary school students' learning difficulties through the perspective of Jean Piaget's theory of cognitive development. The main focus of the research is to understand the influence of the concrete operational stage (7–11 years) on students' abilities to process information and solve problems. This research method uses a literature study approach by analyzing relevant journals, books and articles. The research results show that students often have difficulty understanding abstract concepts without the help of teaching aids or experience-based approaches. Factors such as neurological, psychological, and social barriers also play an important role in learning difficulties. This research highlights the importance of implementing concrete, collaborative, experience-based learning strategies and the use of visual aids to support student understanding. Teachers are advised to adapt teaching methods to students' cognitive development stages so that learning is more effective. This article provides practical guidance to help students overcome learning obstacles and reach their maximum potential. These findings also recommend developing a curriculum that supports individual learning styles according to student needs.
Najwa Rihadatul 'AisyValentiara Tryasmaya L. A.Suparmi

https://aslim.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/35

This study aims to explore the role of guidance counseling (BK) in improving the academic performance and self-confidence of students at MI Hadrul Ulum Cisalak. Self-confidence is considered a key factor influencing students' motivation and academic performance. This research uses a mixed-methods design, with a quantitative approach to measure the relationship between self-confidence and academic performance through questionnaires, and a qualitative approach to deepen understanding through observations. The study population consists of 30 students at MI Hadrul Ulum Cisalak, with a total sample used due to the limited population size. The results show a significant positive relationship between self-confidence and academic performance (correlation coefficient = 0.65). Students with high self-confidence tend to be more active in the learning process and have better average grades. Observational findings also reveal that the school environment and the role of the BK teacher have an important influence in building students' self-confidence. The BK program at MI Hadrul Ulum Cisalak has made a positive contribution, but still needs improvement in terms of frequency and variety of activities. Based on these findings, the study recommends increasing the frequency of the BK program, using a holistic approach, and collaborating with parents to create a more supportive learning environment. This study provides important contributions to the development of more effective BK programs in supporting the academic and psychological development of students at the elementary school level.
Cepi AnandaFina LapyahTanti Ratu R.Nurfitriani

https://aslim.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/36

This study aims to examine the use of statistics in the evaluation of Guidance and Counseling (BK) services based on literature analysis. The evaluation of guidance and counseling services requires a systematic and data-based approach to ensure the effectiveness of the services provided to students. The results show that descriptive statistics are widely used to present basic data on services, while inferential statistics such as t-test, ANOVA, and regression are utilized to assess the effectiveness of interventions and relationships between variables. Outcome based evaluation is becoming an increasingly adopted approach to improving service quality. The main challenges identified were the limited competence of counselors in statistical analysis and the lack of systemic support in educational institutions. On the other hand, advances in technology and statistical software have made it easier to conduct quantitative service evaluations. This study emphasizes the importance of improving statistical literacy for counselors and the integration of data-based evaluation systems in the development of adaptive and effective counseling programs.
Halimahtun SyaddiyahDaharnisRezki Hariko

https://aslim.kjii.org/index.php/i/article/view/38

Freedom of religion is one of the basic principles upheld in various modern legal and thought systems, including in the discourse of human rights. In Islam, the issue of religious freedom is often debated, especially regarding how the Qur'an and the Prophet Muhammad's hadith explain and apply it. This research aims to examine the concept of religious freedom in the perspective of the Prophet's hadith by using normative and contextual approaches. This research is a qualitative study based on library research with thematic analysis method of relevant hadiths. The normative approach is used to examine the values, norms, and teachings of Islamic law contained in the hadith text. Meanwhile, the contextual approach is used to understand the social, political, and cultural background when the hadith was delivered, so that the meaning of the hadith can be interpreted as a whole and not separated from its historical reality. The results show that the Prophet Muhammad upheld the principle of religious freedom through his speech and social practices, including in the Medina Charter and interactions with non-Muslim communities. Hadiths that support the principles of tolerance, protection of non-Muslims, and prohibition of religious coercion show that Islam substantially upholds religious freedom. This study concludes that through a normative and contextual understanding of hadith, Islam can be understood as a religion that is true to itself.
Suciati FatimahEndad Musaddad
